About Me
I was born and raised in Japan and moved to Canada independently at 16, looking for more opportunities.
As a current marketing student at York University, I combine creativity and business strategy to design meaningful customer experiences and brand ideas. My background in hospitality management and multicultural life experience has shaped my strong interest in consumer behavior, service design, and human-centered marketing.
Where I grew up
I was born in Osaka, Japan. Growing up in Japan shaped my appreciation for aesthetics and discipline.
At 16, I moved to Canada by myself to expand my perspective and pursue education. This transition strengthened my adaptability, independence, and cross-cultural understanding, which continue to influence both my personal and professional approach.
Hobby: Swimming
I started swimming before I could speak, and it became a lifelong hobby. I trained competitively throughout childhood and competed in multiple national-level competitions in Japan. Right before I came to Canada, I was able to achieve first place in Osaka in the 50 m freestyle. Although I no longer compete, swimming remains my hobby, which keeps me healthy and active.
Hobby: Traveling
Travel has always been part of my life. Growing up, my mother took me abroad multiple times each year, which sparked my curiosity about cultures and places outside of Japan.
I continue travelling and often fund my own trips through my work. Exploring a new world allows me to observe different lifestyles, aesthetics, and consumer cultures. These experiences continually inspire my creativity and perspective.
